Chimney caps are an effective means of shedding water and protecting the chimney top from critters. The top several courses of masonry absorb the most water and are consequently the first to require repointing or rebuilding because of water-caused breakdown over time. By shedding the water away from the upper chimney, thus prolonging the integrity of the masonry, the cap serves as a significant preventative maintenance measure. Our caps are a high-grade stainless-steel screen and lid that cover the entire chimney top with the lid slightly overhanging the brick edge.
